We have three basic ingredients of art the visual elements, principles of design and component of art. Those three are very important in the elements of arts. For me in the visual element line is important. Line is a series of connected dots. It is important because if you don't have lines you can't create various shapes, designs, segments, letters, drawings and etc. And there are eight kinds of lines. Vertical lines, horizontal lines, diagonal lines, straight lines, curved lines, repeating lines, contrasting lines and last but not the least modified lines.
In Principles of Design the Emphasis or Focal Point is important for me for the others to get the artists message. Give focus to one or more parts of the thing or the whole thing itself. Holds the viewer's eye on certain parts of a work. The focal point is the center of interest or activity in a work of art. It may or may not be the actual center of a painting or drawing, but it is always the most important part. Contrast, structure are three things that help define the focal point.
And for Component of Art is Subject Matter, subject is one of the most important in arts. Subject matter is what something is about. In artwork, the subject matter would be what the artist has chosen to draw. You need to think first what's your work all about.
Style? What is style? Style is a technique of the artist on their works. The most concrete and intangible of all of the components of an artwork. A signature look of an artistic works. Describes the relationship between the artists concepts and approach to the medium. We all have our own unique style. Hmm my style? I think I don't have that style thingy.
Actually I'm not into arts. I hate to draw but I love seeing artworks, paintings and I appreciate it. I never draw because I'm not good in drawing I noticed that when I'm in elementary. Whenever I draw things that I want I found that I can't do it perfectly because it's to ugly. But, when I enrolled to our course basic drawing our professor ask to draw our own left hand. And I draw, draw and draw. Then when I finished it I told to myself "Wow! I can draw." But still not so perfect. Paintings, I have so much love for paintings but not so good into it. I appreciate paintings because I think that there is some significant message in it.
Therefore
my style is into abstract, expressionistic and non-objective art. Why abstract?
I like abstract art because it is distorted and I love colourful things.
Expressionistic art, because I want to express my feelings that I can’t say to
anyone. And last but not the least non-objective art, If someone ask me to make
an artwork that is non-objective I’ll make messy or distorted art. And that’s it.
That’s my style. And this are some of my artworks that I make. Fauvism and Non-objective art.
Everyone knows about the paintingMona Lisa it is perhaps the most popular art piece in the world. The enigmatic facial expression of Mona Lisa in the painting is still an unresolved mystery. The painting is famous for the techniques used by Leonardo Da Vinci and most importantly Mona Lisa is famous for being stolen from the museum. Why is it named as Mona Lisa? It was a spelling error. The original name of the painting was "Monna Lisa". Monna is a short form of Madonna in Italian, meaning "My Lady". The identity of Mona Lisa is still a mystery. Some people believe that it is the female form of Leonardo Da Vinci himself. But other people believe that the woman was Lisa Gherardini, who was 24 years-old and a mother of two sons.
Don't you ever wonder why Mona Lisa has no eyebrows? It is rumoured that it is because when the authorities were trying to restore the painting. The eyebrows got accidentally removed. Some people believe that Leonardo Da Vinci never completed the painting because he was a consummate perfectionist. Ok, let's move on. Next is about the painting Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. He was known to be one of the famous and well-renowned painters in the history of art. His works were considered as the works of a genius. Starry Night is one of his work. Some people may ask what features within the painting are responsible for its ever growing popularity.
There is the night sky filled with swirling clouds, stars with their own luminescence, and a bright crescent moon. This is a scene we can all relate to, and also one that most individuals feel comfortable. Below the rolling hills of the horizon lies a small town. There is a peaceful essence flowing from the structures. The center point of the town is the tall steeple of the church. This steeple casts down a sense of stability onto the town. Also creates a sense of size and seclusion. Van Gogh painted Starry Night while in an Asylum at Saint-Remy in 1889.
Art is important to the study of history because the objects created by man show how humans were reacting to the world around them. You could think of it in terms of cause and effect. What is art? According to what I’ve searched, art is the expression of human creative and imagination, in a visual form such us painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated for their beauty. It is also the various branches of creative activity, such as music, literature and dance. For me art is a thing that you can express your feelings through your works like, paintings, drawings, sculpture and some other forms of arts. And it depends on their colors, lines and shapes on how you want to show your feelings. History is a recorded past event, particularly in human affairs. It is the whole series of past events connected with someone or something. Art made the world a livelier place by making humans feel happy whenever they accomplish something creative and something that looks amazing.
I can say that the connection between them is big. Because art wont progress without history and history cannot be memorialized without art. With different timelines, we see different artworks like sculpture, painting and many more.
